What codec could be missing?  I edit in Vegas and use an AVI intermediate.  I can view the video file in any player so I assume that I have the right codec installed, but Cinegobs never lets me import my video files.

Could my problem be… Windows 7, 64-bit?

Thanks

Steve Mann

Your problem could be that CineGobs keyer only support VFW (Video for Windows) compatible codecs. Do you have Avisynth installed? AviSynth allows CineGobs keyer to also use DirectShow based codecs.

Hi there,

I Installed Cinegobs on two machines. In XP it works fine. in Windows 7 I can load pictures and perform Keying on them, so the pogram works fine.  I cannot load any video though. I tried numerous files with both opening methods. I get messages like".. could not open file", ' …avisynth not installed'  '… make sure avisynth is installed properly'

VirtualDub plays and  the previewer of AvsP can display the video's without problems using avisinth. These programs never have problems with finding avisynth (2.58).

Also login in as administrator did not help.

Any suggestions?

CineGobs keyer simply creates a temporary .avs script file and opens it. If AviSynth is correctly installed it should work.

Are you able to open .avs files by double-clicking in windows explorer? If not, Avisynth isn't installed correctly.
